Todd was reared in Massachusetts by his mother Debbie Grinnell, a theater actor, and his father, who doesn’t appear to have been around during Todd’s childhood. Taylor Grinnell, Todd’s younger brother, was also interested in acting in high school, and the two appeared in several school productions together.
As soon as Todd graduated high school, he began participating in community theater productions, took acting courses, and eventually transferred to Pitzer College in Claremont, California, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in 1998. During his time at the university, he participated in a variety of sports, including football, basketball, and track & field.

To date, Todd has appeared in a number of television series, albeit mainly in single-episode roles. This actor made his debut on Love Inc. in the “Mad About You” episode before going on to appear in Robot Chicken and The Game, before landing the role of Jason on Four Kings for which he is most known today after starring in 13 episodes.
Barry, Ben, Jason, and Bobby are four buddies who call themselves the “Four Kings of New York,” and they all move in together to form a family. With parts in “Criminal Minds” and “The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning,” he had a successful year in 2007. The following year, in 2008, he played Anthony Gibbons in two episodes of “Eli Stone” before portraying Dr. Alex Cominis in six episodes of “Desperate Housewives”.

In 2011, he appeared in single episodes of six TV series, including “Human Target” and “Rules of Engagement,” before starring in four episodes of the “Jane By Design” comedy-drama TV series, which follows a case of mistaken identity that has a high school loner also living a double life as a twenty-something career girl in the fashion world….

Todd prefers to spend his leisure time outside rather than inside, and so he walks, rides a bicycle, and participates in a wide range of activities depending on the weather and the season. Winter sports include skiing and snowboarding, while summer activities include swimming, snorkeling, and hiking.
